I have an \'08 classic. When my driver\'s side window is down, I usually press the button up once to close it. But I noticed today that when I press the button up once to bring the window up, the window goes up....then comes back down until it\'s halfway open. Is this normal? This happens when the engine is off and on. The passenger side window doesn\'t do this. It stays closed when press the button up once to close it :S

This is perfectly normal ... it\'s for when you\'ve forgotten your change at Timmys. ;) :side:

Seriously ... take it back to the dealer for a fix.

Are you sure this is not caused by the cold? There could be a bit of freezing in a spot that is placing tension on the window causing it to think something is in the way.

I had the same problem with my 2008 mini..
I took it back to the dealer and they reprogrammed the computer with an update
Seems to be fixed now.

I have noticed the same issue with the windows in my \'08 Classic. It doesn\'t happen all the time, but it definitely happens in all weather including clear summer days when there is no possibility of something blocking the window. However, it doesn\'t happen often enough to bother me, so I\'ve never given it much thought - and its intermittent enough that i doubt I could replicate it for the dealer.

I will say that it happens more often when I\'m operating both windows at once. So now I just close them separately.

OMG, I was reading this yesterday, and it happened to me today, on an 2008 MC...

The problem was only for the drivers side, and I was going into a car wash...lets just say things got interesting.

I just had my driver side window stop performing this morning. The auto-up wouldn\'t close the window (whenever the glass reached the seal, it kicked back down and opening the window). I took it to the dealer and they got it working, but will be replacing the window motor tomorrow to be sure that the problem is solved. This seems to be an ongoing problem with at least the R56s....

Even better! Simply humming or whistling any Britney Spears song causes the sunroof to open up and the rear defraust to activate. It\'s the coolest feature ever ;)

Seriously though... no. Auto Open and Close with pinch sensors would rock though.
