Since the nice weather is finally here I\'ve begun to \"power-use\" the Sunroof. I bought my 04 MCS late last fall and never had the chance to use it. Now I hear some nasty squeaking when I open the sunroof and it almost sounds like there is some type of grit in there .

Anyone have maintenance tips for the Mini sunroof?

Cheers,

Moxie

I would put some grease onto the rails, I do it twice a year.

White lithium grease did the trick for our Mini and most spray bottles come with a straw making it pretty easy to hit most of the track. A 5 minute job made all the difference in the world!

I assume this is something that can be picked up at Canadian Tire?

Hmmm, will have to look into this...
My Sunroof was making some noise last year, seemed to struggle to close on the HWY. Thanks for the suggestion

Well I didn\'t want to make a mess with White Lithium Grease so I tried some Gig-a-Loo spray and it solved my problem for now. Smooth as silk!
