Quick Question...

Does anyone run spacers with their 15 inch hollies? Thinking of putting on nice sticky tires (205/50/15) on my hollies in the summer ... the only thing is, just don\'t like offset on the hollies, it\'s set too much inside the wheel well !!!!

i have used hollies with Michelin Cup tires 205/50/15 (r-compound) for track and autox.

you can run spacers but the OEM wheel bolts may be too short.

you could change to studs with nuts... or longer bolts.

Thanks Daniel for your reply! Would you say 5mm spacers are good enough? Would it be alright to run the spacers and the new lug replacements on 205/50/15 as a daily commute or is this an advicable setup for track and autox only. Like the weight advantages and looks of the hollies, plus need new rubber for this year!

Next question, where can I find spacers and good longer bolts (heard bad stories of aftermarket bolts breaking off)

i run spacers all the time and have no problems.

5mm will work.

i have a tire/rim place i get spacers and studs/nuts from locally...

important:
-make sure the spacers are hub centric
-and if you go with bolts be sure they are the proper length

I like using studs because it is easier to get the wheels on and open ended nuts.
When the nuts are on you should see a minimum of 3 threads showing out the end.
A lot of racing venues require studs with open ended nuts so they can quickly see there is proper fastener lengths used.
