  • Google Map to all things SOMC related

Hey everyone, I've taken some time to put together a Google map that we can all add stuff to that relate to SOMC.
I figure this will be a good way for us to get an idea of who's close to whom, and make it a useful resource for finding stuff.

Great idea... I have not used this that much before.. How do we add ourselves?

It's my first time using it as well, I thought it may be a perfect solution to problems we didn't know existed.

In order to add yourself you can create/use an account with Google/YouTube (or send me a PM with your address(es) or city and I'll add them).
Once you're signed in and on the map you should be able to drop your own places and edit them.

Here's some more documentation from Google:

Let me know how it goes!

When you're at Google Maps there's a left navigation. If the navigation is not shown click the tiny right facing gray arrow on the far left of the window to open it.

      • Then click on the Red EDIT button.
      • There will be 3 tools that show up at the top left of the map. The middle one is the pin tool.
      • You can search for your location by address then place a pin at that point.
      • Don't forget to title and enter any notes that should included.
      • You can change the type of representative icon by clicking on the icon in the detail popup
      • When you're done, don't forget to click the save and done buttons.
      • You can also save the map as well.

Great idea. Trying to figure out how to use it from my phone. The Google maps app doesn't support it, but opening it in chrome works, can't figure out how to add to it.

I'm not sure if this will work on mobile systems.
I've tested it in Windows 7 for IE, Firefox and Chrome

If anyone wants me to put them up myself, PM me the details and I'll post them to the map.

I had them replace my rear hatch and aero bumper in the past, everything looked great until I got sprayed with stones on the Rattler one year after the person in front of me got a little sideways...

I seem to remember that, you weren't the only one. I got a windshield stone chip to remind me of that too...
